Professional CAD-CAM Jewellery Design Course

The course comprises 60 hours of individual lessons and is aimed at anyone interested in designing jewellery, starting with a handmade design or an idea.  This course will give the student the skills to design any kind of jewellery using RHINOCEROS software, to do photographic rendering and to create a piece in fusible or flexible resin using quick prototyping systems.
The programme is divided into 3 parts. In the first part of the course the students will get familiar with the graphic interface and the available tools. They will learn how to change environmental variables, and to design and modify designs in 2D and transform items. In the second part of the course they will practise creating and modifying curves and surfaces, and they will study export and advanced meshing techniques. The third part of the course will focus on optimising mesh and polygons, exporting designs to stereolithography apparatus for prototyping, importing designs into 3D modelling programmes, and scanning an object in 3D. The last part of the programme is dedicated to creating products in materials such as wax or resin, to finishing these items and preparing them to be cast in metal.
